ABOUT

Katelyn Wallis, she/her

Registered Psychotherapist

Katelyn loves to travel and brings that spirit of curiosity and openness into her work as a therapist. She also works in community mental health, which keeps her grounded in the real experiences people navigate every day.

A Registered Psychotherapist, Katelyn uses a strength-based, client-led, and person-centred approach that emphasizes collaboration, trust, and respect. She's personable, open-minded, accepting, and friendly, creating a nonjudgmental space where people feel empowered, heard, and accepted. Her practice is characterized by empathy, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to supporting people through their personal and therapeutic journeys.

Katelyn integrates trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and mindfulness techniques with an eclectic approach that includes cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, narrative, and dyadic developmental practices. She's committed to tailoring her support to each person's individual needs and strengths.

She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, and also welcomes adults into her practice. Katelyn supports people navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, family dynamics, parenting, self-esteem, behavioural challenges, trauma, and developmental and intellectual challenges.

She's also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which helps people process distressing symptoms associated with traumatic experiences.

When she's not in session, you'll find Katelyn planning her next adventure or exploring somewhere new.

Sessions: $170 | Covered by extended health benefits
